Clarion Partners Europe purchases Panattoni Park in Voerde

The Panattoni Park Voerde has a new owner: the international real estate investor Clarion Partners acquired the asset on behalf of one of its comingled funds. The logistics park, consisting of two buildings with more than 66,000 m² of usable space, was completed in 2023 and is fully let. Its stand-out feature is, among others, its trimodal transport connection.

The logistics park is located in an established industrial district in the immediate vicinity of the economic and logistics regions, Duisburg and the Lower Rhine region. The tenants include MT Deutschland, the transmission manufacturer, Flender; and the logistics service provider, WM Group. The park is excellently connected to the domestic ports along the Rhine and is also easy to reach by road and rail. It consists of two logistics halls which can be divided into six units of different sizes.

The installation and completion of a photovoltaics system with a peak capacity of 6.86 megawattpeak (MWp) are planned for the end of 2024. The expected power generation of a total of more than 5.8 million kilowatt hours per year (kWh) can provide a calculated 2,300 two-person households with green energy from the Panattoni Park Voerde. The topic of sustainability was also a focus when developing the park: The project was completed on a former Brownfield measuring around 112,000 m² and is one of the largest revitalisations in the Lower Rhine region.
